Committee meeting this Wednesday night- PLEASE contact me if you are interested in helping in any capacity- It is so much fun to be a part of a film and in this case a worthy legacy info@barbaro-gould.org
We are currently accepting donations and seeking assistance for “Racing to Rio” a film following The Paralympic Sailing USA1 Team Sperry on their remarkable journey to compete in the Paralympics in Rio 2016.
Three courageous men and world class sailors, each with varying levels of ability, #BradKendell of #Clearwater, Florida, Rick Doerr of Clifton New Jersey, and Hugh Freund of South Freeport, Maine are inspiring challenged individuals of varied abilities to get out, face the world and bring renewed faith to themselves by expanding what they believe is possible through the sport of sailing.
Open to qualifying #Paralympic sail teams from around the world on September 7, 2016, the #sailing venue in Rio de Janeiro will be the first Summer Games ever held in South America and possibly the last Summer Games to feature Paralympic Sailing. USA1 Team Sperry is vying to represent the United States in Rio.
The film will aid in fundraising, but perhaps more importantly will leave a visual marker of not only the incredible legacy of The USA1 Team Sperry, but also of Paralympic Sailing as a competitive world sport. As world-class athletes, these three men see their role as not only to compete, but to inspire others who face physical, mental and emotional challenges to dream, live and achieve their highest potential in both sports and life.
We need your help in bringing their story to the forefront. In the coming weeks we will present you with multiple ways to participate in our heroes’ journey. The current budget for this film is $450,000, and a portion of film budget will be donated to sponsor the USA1 campaign.
Please donate early and often. All donations to the Barbaro-Gould Foundation are tax deductible.

Some sneak peaks behind the scenes:
Junior Polo, a close friend and Barbaro-Gould Foundation Exposed Elements Artist was selected as the 2015 poster artist for Clearwater Jazz Holiday. This exciting opportunity follows a legacy of many successful artists before him. The Barbaro-Gould Foundation was proud to refer him to the Clearwater Arts Alliance public piano project where he painted a jazz themed piano that the Clearwater Jazz Holiday ultimately purchased and subsequently selected him as their poster artist. The poster was unveiled last night at a happy hour event at Lokey Mercedes. Junior had a crowd of approximately 400 people when he gave his speech and shout out to The Barbaro-Gould Foundation-Yay! Congratulations to Junior Polo!
